Unfold and locate drain cups. For shipping, the drain cups are in an inverted position. Push up on the drain cup until it turns inside out. Now water can flow freely into cup.
Repeat steps 4-5 for all other grommets on diverter. Do not tighten until all bungees have been secured.
Push black hose fitting into bottom of drain cup until snug. Once inserted, tighten threaded ring to secure hose fitting to drain cup. Do not over-tighten ring.
Once diverter has been secured on all sides with bungees, slide cord through hoop to tighten. Adjust until water flows freely toward drain cups.
Separate optional quick connect and attached the male end of the quick connect into the hose fitting. Attach female side onto hose and set to side. It is easier to install diverter without the hose being attached.
When desired tightness is achieved, wrap cord around hook fastener and pull to secure. This will prevent the bungee cord from slipping out of place. Repeat on all other bungees.
Separate optional quick connect and attached the male end of the quick connect into the hose fitting. Attach female side onto hose and set to side. It is easier to install diverter without the hose being attached.
Hook umbrella diverter to any secure object that will be able to hold the weight of the diverter and any water that pools inside.*
You can use storage cover to assist with the installation.
1. Carefully cut the bottom of the cover straight across so that the whole diverter will be able to slide out. Be careful not to cut diverter.
2. Follow instructions 2 - 3.
3. Attach hose through bottom.
4. Hang umbrella.
5. Pull cover off and remove at the bottom of the hose.
6. Run hose into a container.
